The Stress Pilot combines two established methods from conventional medicine into one innovative, effective system for improved stress management. The first is the HRV-measurement, determines neuro-vegetative regulation or status by means of autono- mic function testing by quantifying heart rate variability (HRV) during deep breathing (respi- ratory sinusarrhythmia). The second pillar of the Stress Pilot is the HRV-biofeedback-practice. Biofeedback is a scien-tifically established method in which physiological signals like heart rate or electrical brain waves are registered and confirmed visually or acoustically. This method allows under- standing own physical processes and also learning how to influence them in a positive way.
